This Big Thing is recorded as still being here.
A 40-foot-8-inch to 41-foot-tall, 5,000-lb shovel sculpture built from recycled materials (a repurposed dumpster blade, a utility-pole handle) by artist/welder Chris Anderson for Garden-Ville/Texas Disposal Systems, Guinness World Record-certified July 17, 2014 at Garden-Ville's Creedmoor, TX premises (3606 FM 1327). Built to symbolize the company's waste-diversion/recycling mission; the shovel is noted to sometimes travel to fairs or parades via its own hydraulic laydown system.
