FIELD GUIDE
The story
Travel Yukon's listing for the Kluane Museum of History at Burwash Landing, Yukon, tells visitors to "Watch for the World's Largest Gold Pan located next to the museum". The Indigenous Yukon listing, from the Yukon First Nations Culture and Tourism Association, also uses the phrase "World's Largest Gold Pan" next to the museum, names the museum the Kluane Museum of Natural History, and places it at Historic Mile 1093 on the Alaska Highway. The museum's own website invites visitors to "take a selfie with the world's largest gold pan" and gives its address, on its Hours/Admission and Location page, as Mile 1093 Alaska Highway, Burwash Landing.
All three pages use "world's largest" as their own description. None of the three pages cites a record-keeping body for the title or gives a size, builder or date.
