FIELD GUIDE
The story
One of the dingoes was stolen in 2018. It came back damaged, and the pair had to be remade.
The original statues were created by the South Burnett sculptor Kurt Keung and stood at the town entrance for many years. After the theft and the deterioration that followed, South Burnett Regional Council used funds from the Federal Government's Community Infrastructure Improvement Program to have replacement steel sculptures recast in 2019 by Dan Davie, working from the originals.

WHAT TO EXPECT
The original dingo statues were created by South Burnett sculptor Kurt Keung. After theft and deterioration, replacement steel sculptures were recast by Dan Davie in 2019 using the originals as the basis. Current regional tourism continues to identify the pair as Wondai landmarks.
ACCESS
Navigate to Wondai Regional Art Gallery, 40 Haly Street, on the roundabout. The dingo feature is outside the gallery; park lawfully nearby and view it on foot rather than stopping in the roundabout.
