FIELD GUIDE

The story

Two cave trolls guard the door of the Wētā Cave at Miramar, and the workshop tells visitors to go and have a photograph taken with them.
The Wētā Cave is free to enter and open seven days except Christmas Day, in the Wellington suburb that has become the centre of the country's screen industry – Wētā Workshop, Wētā FX and Stone Street Studios are all within a few streets of each other, and Miramar has been reshaped by the film business more thoroughly than any other New Zealand suburb.
