The story

Trois disques is a work by Alexander Calder in Parc Jean-Drapeau in Montréal. The park's page for the work says it was created in 1967 by "one of the greatest sculptors of the 20th century" and calls it "an iconic example of the artist's stabiles". It lists the material as stainless steel.
The page says the work reflects the theme of Expo 67, Terre des Hommes, "inviting viewers to explore form, movement, and balance in public space". It says the sculpture was "generously donated by the International Nickel Company", which, it says, highlights the importance of patronage in enriching Montréal's cultural and artistic spaces. It describes the work as "Situated in an open and accessible environment", offering visitors the chance to experience modern art interacting with the landscape.
