This Big Thing is recorded as still being here.
'The Great Pumpkin' is an 11-foot-tall, roughly 10-ft-by-10-ft mosaic-tiled pumpkin sculpture built from about 90 percent recycled material, including thousands of small orange tiles, at a cost of about $750. It was created by the community-art nonprofit Concrete Couch with the help of more than 200 community volunteers as part of the 2016 Community Built Association National Boot Camp, and was installed by forklift in downtown Colorado Springs during the city's annual Pumpkinfest in October 2016. It weighs approximately 1,500 lbs.
