This Big Thing is recorded as still being here.
A newly-built Muffler Man-class giant fiberglass cowboy stands outside the Copperhead Road Honkey Tonk Saloon in Colorado Springs. Unlike most Muffler Men, which are repurposed 1960s-era statues, this one was custom-built from scratch in 2012 by FAST (Fiberglass Animals, Shapes & Trademarks Corp.) of Sparta, Wisconsin -- the same company descended from the original International Fiberglass mold lineage -- specifically for the bar. He wears a cowboy hat and holds a cigar, an oversized beer mug, and a guitar. The Library of Congress's Carol M. Highsmith photographic archive documented the statue as a "Muffler Man" figure, the standard giant-fiberglass-figure class that runs roughly 18-25 feet tall.
