This Big Thing is recorded as still being here.
'Suka: Place of the Bees,' a 1995 public-art installation by artist Meg Cranston at the Norwalk (C Line) Los Angeles Metro Rail station, centered on an 8-foot by 8-foot large bee sculpture greeting passengers at the entry to the station's park-and-ride lot, accompanied by smaller canopy-mounted bee sculptures, wall tiles, and honeycomb-patterned pavement mosaics. The title 'Suka' references the Tongva/Gabrielino place name for the Norwalk area, and bees were chosen by the artist as a symbol of the area's industrious, productive character.
