The Shell Factory & Nature Park in North Fort Myers, a roadside attraction operating since 1938, included a 'Day of the Dinosaur' exhibit of large fiberglass prehistoric-animal replicas (including a triceratops children could ride) in its Nature Park courtyard. The attraction, owned by Pam Cronin since 1997, closed permanently in September 2024 after hurricane damage; its contents, including the dinosaur statues, were sold across a multi-phase 2024-2025 liquidation auction, with the auctioneer stating everything would be removed from the property.
