The story

Tulsa's Meadow Gold District added a fibreglass Rosie the Riveter to its Route 66 giants in autumn 2025. On 3 October 2025 Route 66 News reported that the figure, a variation on the Uniroyal Gal model, had arrived on Thursday and been erected just west of Ike's Chili on 11th Street, which is Route 66. It counted her as the fifth fibreglass giant in the district, after Buck Atom, Stella Atom, Meadow Gold Mack and Cowboy Bob, and said Uniroyal Gals were made in the 1960s by International Fiberglass in Venice, California, the company that also made Muffler Men. In August 2025 News On 6 had reported that her arrival was expected in the autumn, and noted that the woman who inspired the original wartime Rosie campaign was from Tulsa. The district's own website gives her height as 18 feet, says she stands outside The Pearl Shops on 11th Street, and presents the figure as a symbol of the women who entered the workforce during the Second World War. The Tulsa Flyer's March 2026 guide lists her as the fifth giant on Route 66 in the district and credits Virginia artist Mark Cline with creating the statues.
