Rex, a giant Tyrannosaurus rex statue built from styrofoam and plaster as a prop for the 1993 Disney film 'Father Hood' (starring Patrick Swayze), filmed at Cascade Caverns near Boerne, Texas. The production donated the statue to the park after filming; it stands near the gift shop/ticket office and underwent restoration in 2009 after years of weather exposure. As a life-size depiction of an inherently giant prehistoric animal, it is giant-scale by the same standing as other Tyrannosaurus statues already catalogued in this cohort (e.g. Dinosaur Valley State Park).
