The story

Rockaway Beach, on the Oregon coast, is where the Pronto Pup, a batter-coated hot dog on a stick, is said to have been invented, and a giant corn dog on a restaurant roof beside Highway 101 makes the point. OPB wrote in 2022: "Drivers likely do a double-take at the sight of a giant corn dog on the roof." It described the piece as a massive fibreglass corn dog.
The restaurant says the fixture measures 30 feet and is the largest Pronto Pup in the world; that is the operator's own claim.
