This Big Thing is recorded as still being here.
A rare "Mr. Bendo" muffler-man variant (fewer than 10 known survivors of this style), 21 ft tall, holding a muffler, standing leaning against a telephone pole in San Angelo, Texas since 1989 -- previously in downtown San Angelo in front of Fillip Automotive before moving with the business. Acquired by Marvin Fillip (d. 2005) as a 1965 sales bonus from a muffler-parts company. Created by International Fiberglass, whose "Bendo" machine crafted custom muffler pipes.
