A 21-foot-tall, 4.5-ton polished stainless-steel sculpture depicting a giant head of Soviet leader Vladimir Lenin, atop which a small, feminized figure of Mao Zedong balances on a pole as if walking a tightrope. Created by Beijing artists Gao Zhen and Gao Qiang (the Gao Brothers), first shown at the 2009 Vancouver Biennale before developer James Lifschutz arranged its relocation to downtown San Antonio's Zona Cultural, near Commerce Street and the Texas Public Radio building. A politically satirical work; in November 2022 it was significantly damaged by an explosive attack.
