A 16-foot-tall, 40-foot-long concrete-and-rebar Tyrannosaurus rex statue outside the McDonald's at Grant Road and Tanque Verde Road, Tucson. Per current owner Paul Dias, these were props used in the filming of the original 1993 Jurassic Park, relocated here by Universal Pictures after production wrapped, arriving in 1994; the site originally displayed several dinosaurs including a 10-ft Maiasaura with babies, but only the T-Rex survived a remodel roughly two years before 2024 reporting. City officials required the T-Rex be retained during that renovation. A beloved, immovable Tucson landmark used for navigation.
