This Big Thing is recorded as still being here.
Two 20-foot-tall fiberglass lumberjack "muffler man" statues -- possibly the very first muffler men ever made, created by Bob Prewitt in 1962 for the Paul Bunyan Cafe (later the Lumberjack Cafe) on Route 66, Flagstaff -- relocated to Northern Arizona University's Lumberjack Stadium in the late 1970s and moved again to their current site at the J. Lawrence Walkup Skydome in 1979. Named "Louie" in 1988 after the Kingsmen song "Louie Louie"; now the beloved mascot symbol of NAU. Appeared in the 1969 film Easy Rider.
