This Big Thing is recorded as still being here.
Little Louie, a 10-foot-tall lumberjack figure carved from cedar wood circa the 1960s, originally standing outside the historic Lumberjack Cafe on Route 66 in Flagstaff. When the cafe became Granny's Closet in 1973, the two larger fiberglass muffler-man lumberjacks were donated to Northern Arizona University, but the smaller wooden Little Louie was kept as a landmark outside the business. Restored twice, most recently by Wally Baird in 2009; now sits on his own concrete platform near Route 66.
