This Big Thing is recorded as still being here.
A giant replica of the seated Abraham Lincoln Memorial statue, built in Thailand and shipped to Eastern Kentucky, was originally commissioned and financed by attorney Eric C. Conn and displayed at his Floyd County law office from 2010. It was removed in 2019 after Conn was sentenced to 12 years in prison for the largest Social Security fraud in US history; a local businessman purchased and donated the statue, and in 2021 it was permanently installed at the Middle Creek National Battlefield in Prestonsburg, the site of an 1862 Civil War engagement.
