The Lady in the Lake (officially titled 'Country Girl Skinny Dipping') is a 50-foot fiberglass sculpture of a floating woman -- only her head and knees visible above the water -- created by fiberglass artist Mark Cline at the request of billionaire art patron George Barber. First installed at Barber Motorsports Park in Leeds, Alabama in spring 2012, it was trucked south that November to permanently float in Barber Marina, Elberta. Destroyed by Hurricane Sally in September 2020, the sculpture was repaired at Cline's Virginia studio and returned to Barber Marina, with test-floating and reinstallation reported in mid-to-late 2022.
