A muffler-man figure erected in 1965 just northwest of Dallas Love Field on Highway 12/Northwest Highway south of Marsh Lane, holding a giant muffler and "duded up" to resemble Howdy Doody or Alfalfa (straw hat, freckles). Reportedly inspired by a Big Boy statue at a Kip's Big Boy across the street (the restaurant and its Big Boy statue are long gone; this muffler man survives). Distinct from the separate Ken's Muffler Snerd figure in Beaumont, though built by the same shop-founder, Ken Johnson.
