FIELD GUIDE
The story
Not a sculpture of a bucket. An actual mining rope-shovel bucket, retired and set at the town entrance.
That distinction runs through a whole branch of this catalogue. The dragline bucket at Moura, the haul-truck displays across the coalfields, the dredge components in gold country – these are decommissioned working equipment, placed where people can finally see the scale of machinery that normally operates behind a fence, kilometres from any road.

A free roadside mining landmark at the town entrance.
ACCESS
The Big Bucket is a current official tourism attraction at Glenden’s eastern entrance, but the safest pull-off–especially for larger vehicles–still needs location confirmation.
