FIELD GUIDE
The story
It began with the public amenities block, and the word the town uses is troutification.
Until 2003 Cressy was known as the Gateway to Trout Fishing Paradise and, by the Northern Midlands Council's own frank account, for very little else – a stark streetscape of bleak power poles, vacant shops and rundown features. Then somebody troutified the public amenities block.
