A 20-foot metal sculpture of a Tyrannosaurus rex was reported out front of the Z Bar Trading Co. in Sanderson, a West Texas town of about 800 people, an hour's drive southeast of Fort Stockton. Texas Monthly's 2021 travel feature described the sculpture as welcoming visitors at the hardware store, which is in a former mercantile building and also sells home goods, pottery and animal-shaped yard sculptures imported from Mexico.
