World's Largest Loaf of Bread sculpture

A bread loaf 33 feet long stands outside the headquarters of Bundy Baking Solutions in Urbana, Ohio, a company that supplies baking pans and equipment to bakeries. The company calls it the World's Largest Bread Loaf, and a 2024 Columbus Dispatch roundup of Ohio's "world's largest" attractions listed it, citing World Record Academy. According to the company, the loaf began around 1970 as an exterior sign for the Colonial Baking Company in Montgomery, Alabama; the Dispatch described its age as a mystery. The company's founder acquired it some time after the bakery closed in 2001 and commissioned a restoration and redesign in 2016, when it was wrapped in vinyl graphics and its ends were hand painted. It was re-wrapped in 2023. The company gives its construction as foam, wood, steel, wire mesh and fiberglass, measuring 33 feet long, 7.5 feet wide and 8 feet tall; Ohio Traveler gives the same figures. The loaf sits near the entrance to a working company site. The company asks visitors to view and photograph it from the sidewalk or street and to respect its no-trespassing policy.
