A 30-foot, double-scale golden replica of Michelangelo's David, by conceptual artist Serkan Ozkaya, stands outside the 21c Museum Hotel at the corner of Main Street and South 7th Street in Louisville. Originally created for the 2005 Istanbul Biennial (where it collapsed shortly after installation and was restored), an additional cast was acquired by 21c in 2010 and transported via New York City to Louisville, becoming a popular Main Street landmark since 2011.
