A six-foot-tall, 330-gallon, 250-pound metal coffee pot has sat atop the long-defunct Coffee Pot Diner on US Highway 301 near Cordova, South Carolina since 1951, when it was built by original owner Fred Griffin. The diner operated from around 1950 to 1979; the coffee pot fell off the roof in 2013 gusty winds, prompting current owner Thomas Gray to repair the roof and restore it to its perch. The building's interior is now used as a child's dollhouse/tea-party room.
