FIELD GUIDE
The story
Toogoolawah had a giant redback on the roof, which is a bold thing to advertise anything with.
The redback is among the most feared spiders in Australia – a small, black, red-striped animal with a genuinely dangerous bite, and one that lives comfortably in sheds, letterboxes and the underside of outdoor furniture across most of the continent. Rendering one at roof scale is not a celebration of a local product. It is a dare.
