FIELD GUIDE

The story

A giant question mark is a strange thing for a town to keep, which is exactly why Home Hill kept it.
The sculpture began as an entry in Canefields Ephemera, the town's inaugural art event in 2017. The name is the key to it: ephemera, work made to be temporary, installed among the cane country of the Burdekin and then taken away again. Almost everything in such a programme is designed to disappear.
