FIELD GUIDE
The story
A 20-foot concrete peach and a yellow miniature Washington Monument stand beside US 41 north of Vincennes. They front The Big Peach, a farm market in Bruceville that, according to Inside Indiana Business, grew from a peach orchard the Yates family started on the property in 1954.
Roadside America's entry credits Wilbur and Doris Yates with building the peach and the monument that year as a tribute to the Trylon and Perisphere of the 1939 New York World's Fair.

WHAT TO EXPECT
Seasonal farm market with the peach and monument out front for photos. In July 2025 the Sun-Commercial described fresh produce, homemade fudge and pies, you-pick flowers and strawberries in season, and a fall sunflower maze and pumpkin patch; it was open daily, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
ACCESS
At the farm market, 7738 N US Hwy 41, Bruceville, about seven miles north of Vincennes (2022 listing). The peach stands outside the market, which a 2022 tourism-bureau listing gave as open May to October; check current hours before visiting.
