FIELD GUIDE

The story

Nuts & Bolts Tasmania sells fasteners – over 400,000 items in stock, serving the state's building, marine and automotive trades. Out the front are an oversized nut and bolt.
There is no metaphor to unpack. The business sells nuts and bolts, so the sign is a nut and a bolt, at a size you cannot miss from Frederick Street. It is the purest possible expression of the commercial Big Thing: the product, enlarged, at the door.

WHAT TO EXPECT
The Big Nut and Bolt is mounted on the Nuts & Bolts Tasmania building at 60 Frederick Street, Launceston. A February 2025 licensed photograph shows the installation in place on the building, and the operator continues to trade from this address in 2026.
ACCESS
Navigate to Nuts & Bolts Tasmania at 60 Frederick Street. The operator’s own map link resolves the Launceston store to approximately -41.442106, 147.1370865, and recent photographic evidence shows marked off-street customer parking directly in front of the building. The stored object point is a map-checked site anchor, not a claimed sculpture centroid.
