The story

A peach-shaped building was built in 2014 to house the digital projector at a three-screen drive-in in Monetta, South Carolina, a design its owner chose as a nod to the area's abundant peach blossoms, according to a 2024 South Carolina House resolution.
The Big Mo's own history page says the Monetta Drive-In Theater opened as a single-screen theater in 1951, closed in 1986 and reopened in 1999. The second screen was added in 2005 and the third in 2011. The same page says the giant peach was built to house the digital projector on the Main Field in 2014.
