A large fiberglass jackalope (a mythical rabbit-antelope hybrid of American folklore) standing on a rooftop near the corner of Camp Bowie Boulevard and Bryant Irvin Road, Fort Worth. Created in 1982 by local artist Nancy Lamb, commissioned by Kaye Burkett-Thomas, owner of the Jackalope Store (a pottery and gardening business) that the creature was built to sit atop. Built with a wooden base, papier-mache and fiberglass exterior. The Jackalope Store closed in 2000; a used car dealership bought the land and demolished the building but kept the statue, which remains a beloved Fort Worth landmark.
