FIELD GUIDE
The story
A 15-foot metal golfer greets visitors at the entrance to the Garrison Golf Course in Garrison, North Dakota, according to the Garrison Convention and Visitors Bureau. Roadside America, which files him as the Zombie Golf Giant, describes a sheet-metal figure with a golf club tucked into his belt and what it calls zombie eyes; the Minot Daily News, citing Roadside America, described him in 2018 as a 15-foot sheet-metal figure.
Roadside Architecture gives a slightly different height, 16 feet, and says he was installed around 1982 and originally painted orange and blue.
