FIELD GUIDE
The story
A giant cricket bat beside the ground, and a boundary fence made of ordinary ones.
The bat at Narrikup stands roughly eight to eight and a half metres, and it is accompanied by the community cricket-bat boundary fence – which is the more interesting half of the arrangement. A boundary marked out in bats, presumably contributed by players and families over time, turns the fence into a record of who has played there.
