FIELD GUIDE

The story

A wool wagon at one and a half times full size, complete with its load, on the Albany Highway at Kojonup.
The scale factor is the interesting decision. Most oversized objects go for ten or twenty times life size, because the joke is dislocation. A wagon at one and a half times reads as almost right – you register that something is wrong with the proportions before you work out what – and it keeps the object comprehensible as a vehicle rather than turning it into a cartoon.

WHAT TO EXPECT
Current 2026 visitor evidence confirms the Giant Wool Wagon remains a prominent Kojonup landmark. Shire material places the RV stay directly beside it at Albany Highway and Gordon Street.
ACCESS
Use the public park/RV-stop precinct beside the Wool Wagon. Do not stop in through-traffic on Albany Highway.
