FIELD GUIDE
The story
Curtin Springs is a cattle station and a roadhouse on the Lasseter Highway, and oversized boomerang and spear forms stand at it.
The highway is the road to Uluru. Almost everyone who drives to the rock from Alice Springs passes Curtin Springs, and the station has been a stop on that route for a very long time – one of a handful of places to get fuel across a couple of hundred kilometres of country. Current NT Big Things checklists continue to identify the objects at the station.
