Meet The Little Things.

Every Big Thing in this catalogue is real – researched, sourced, and exactly where we say it is. The Little Things belong to a different kind of story. They travel the same roads you do, and the same strange, oversized, wonderful things a town built on purpose are exactly what pull them off course too. None of them live at any one Big Thing. You might catch a glimpse near a roadside statue, at a lookout, beside a sign, along a path, or simply somewhere between the last stop and the next – always passing through, never staying put.

They notice things differently from one another, which is most of what makes them worth meeting. Their adventures never change or explain the facts of a Big Thing – they travel alongside the catalogue, not inside it.

Some plan every stop before they leave, and are slowly, grudgingly learning to let the plan change. Others cannot pass an interesting detour without taking it, and have never once regretted where it led. Some carry a bag heavy enough for the whole group, entirely certain someone will need what is in it, and can never find the right thing quickly; others travel with almost nothing and have genuinely never missed what they left behind. Some photograph every view they can reach; others sketch the same view instead, and remember it differently for having drawn it. One or two are entirely certain which way is north, and still not always sure that is the same as knowing where to go. And at least one of them listens far more than it looks, and could describe a place to you with the picture turned off.

Put that many different travellers on the same road and you get friendships, the odd disagreement, and a great many small mishaps – which is exactly the idea.

This page shows two glimpses on purpose, not a line-up. There are more of them than we are showing here, and meeting them – one Discovery Pack, one character, one small surprise at a time – is most of the point. Whoever you meet first is yours to keep, whatever happens to your membership later. Nobody can take that back.
