Premium Challenge
TRAVEL THE COUNTRY
Aotearoa Island to Island
Three Big Things on each of the North and South Islands.
Premium Challenge Library
The challenge exists and its Big Things remain part of the free field guide. Premium unlocks the curated qualifying set and challenge gameplay.
Premium never changes access to the underlying Big Thing listings, safety information, navigation facts or your Visits. If Premium becomes active later, existing Visits – including Visits made while membership was inactive – are re-evaluated automatically.
About Premium
PREMIUM DEFINITION
The qualifying set and your exact progress stay private until Premium is unlocked.
This browser receives neither the curated member list nor a personal progress total for a locked Premium edition. That same boundary prevents listing pages and Explore from revealing which Big Things belong to it.
ABOUT
Why this challenge exists
Core New Zealand records that are ready to recommend, split by island. Three from each island means the challenge cannot be completed without crossing Cook Strait.
Edition 1 · published 28 August 2026
Challenge definitions are versioned. If later research changes a qualifying set, a new edition is published – an achievement you have already earned is never taken away.
