A potato masher almost 39 feet tall, billed as the world's largest, was installed in May 2023 at the Food + Farm Exploration Center, 3400 Innovation Drive, in Plover, Wisconsin. Metro Wire reported its weight as about three tons. The center is run by the non-profit Farming for the Future Foundation, and WSAW reported that the masher was meant to welcome visitors to the site.

The story
An almost 39-foot potato masher was installed in May 2023 as the landmark for the Food + Farm Exploration Center in Plover, Wisconsin.
WSAW reported that the masher, put up at a ceremony while the center was nearly complete, was meant as a visible, iconic attraction to welcome visitors to the site. The station said it represents the fun exploration inside and outside the center and honors the agriculture industry, growers, innovators and consumers. Metro Wire called it a three-ton masher and a "selfie spot" aimed at drawing young visitors, and located the center at 3400 Innovation Drive, south of Menards. It described a 24-acre site run by the nonprofit Farming for the Future Foundation. Neither report says who made the masher, and both date from May 2023.
