A 12-foot-tall rotating milk carton, built in the 1940s and standing 20 feet total including its supporting stand, is located at 594 North Andy Griffith Parkway (US Highway 52 North) in Mount Airy, North Carolina. Originally installed in front of what was then Coble Dairy (which went through several name changes over the decades, including Flav-O-Rich, Sealtest, and most recently Pet), the carton began rotating in 1963 and turned continuously for more than 40 years until it stopped in 2007. It was subsequently restored to working (rotating) order, though it no longer contains any milk.
