This Big Thing is recorded as still being here.
A 35-foot-tall polished stainless-steel fork weighing 11 tons, which claims to be the world's largest fork. It was designed in the 1990s by Noble and Associates, a local advertising company, for a restaurant on South Glenstone Avenue, and was moved to 2215 W. Chesterfield St, Springfield, when that business closed. A 2019 Columbia Missourian feature called it the site of a million selfies.
