This Big Thing is recorded as still being here.
A 40-foot-tall, 60-foot-wide illuminated Amoco sign atop Stevenson's Hi-Pointe service station in St. Louis -- a modern (2019) BP-rebuilt homage to the site's original 44-ton, 5,800-bulb, 2,900-ft-neon Standard Oil sign that first lit up in 1932 at the same corner.
