A 27-foot red-cedar sculpture carved by Hungarian-born artist Peter Wolf Toth, the fourth work in his nationwide 'Trail of the Whispering Giants' series honouring Native American heritage (carved 1973). Designated Georgia's official monument to America's indigenous people, it stands on Highway 27 in Colquitt; Toth, who never charges a fee and always donates the finished work to its host town, chose Colquitt for the hospitality he experienced there.
