This Big Thing is recorded as still being here.
A 17-foot-6-inch-tall, 450-lb fiberglass 'Uniroyal Gal' statue standing outside the Adobe Hacienda Dance Hall on Mager Drive in El Paso, Texas. Manufactured in the 1960s by International Fiberglass (the same company behind muffler men and dinosaur statues) to stand outside gas stations and auto shops selling Uniroyal tire products; her design was reportedly inspired by Jacqueline Kennedy. El Paso's is one of only about a dozen surviving Uniroyal Gals nationwide, wearing a custom-painted red vest with repainted nails and shoes.
