The Birds is a pair of oversized house sparrow sculptures (a male and a female) by Vancouver artist Myfanwy MacLeod in Milton Wong Plaza at Olympic Village, 1650 Manitoba St, Vancouver. Commissioned through the City of Vancouver's Olympic and Paralympic Public Art Program and installed in 2010, they stand 18 feet (5.5 metres) tall according to the artist's statement in the City's public art registry; Destination Vancouver gives each as about five metres. After damage from climbing and skateboarding they were removed for repairs, recast in aluminum and reinstalled in August 2018.
