From 2001 to 2007, sculptor Mark Cline placed roughly a dozen fiberglass dinosaur figures around Glasgow, Virginia as an April Fool's Day prank; most were later moved to become part of Cline's nearby Dinosaur Kingdom (now Dinosaur Kingdom II) at Natural Bridge. One dinosaur, however, was never relocated and remains standing in Glasgow as a local landmark -- surviving damage (including losing its head) from a 2020 windstorm, after which the town saved and restored it.
