FIELD GUIDE

The story

CBR reported in 2015 that a 22-foot Optimus Prime and a 20-foot Bumblebee stood outside G&M Body Shop's two locations in Stillwater.
According to CBR, the statues were bought from a company in Thailand and shipped to Oklahoma. When they arrived, the shop's owners found they were not what they had expected. The shop's Facebook page, quoted by CBR, said the statue was not up to its standard up close. The shop reinforced, soda-blasted and repainted it and fabricated new lower legs; the post said the work took almost a full year.
