FIELD GUIDE
The story
Ocean Pasture is not built on the landscape. It is the landscape, shaped into rolling green waves.
The monumental earthwork at The Morgans Art Park forms large swells across the ground, and the name does the joining: pasture behaving like ocean, on hills that look down toward the Pāuatahanui Inlet. Grass is the medium, and the work changes with mowing, season and light rather than with weathering.
