FIELD GUIDE

The story

May Drive Parkland is themed on evolution through time, and the megafauna are the payoff at the end of the walk.
Kings Park sits on the escarpment above the Swan River in the middle of Perth – one of the largest inner-city parks in the world, and home to a botanic garden holding over three thousand varieties of Western Australian flora. The May Drive precinct within it holds a group of large-scale replicas of extinct Australian megafauna, alongside a seventy-five-metre elevated walkway and an island fort.
