Community/regional-tourism sources describe it as a full-color fiberglass figure wearing a pot as a hat and holding an oversized apple; it is one of several same-mold Johnny Appleseed statues placed at former Johnny Appleseed Restaurant-linked sites around Virginia (a related casting exists at New Market, VA).
